I visited the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles last summer and I am finally getting a chance to blog about it. This historic hotel, which opened in 1923, is located in the heart of downtown LA near Pershing Square. When I stepped through the doors and into the rendezvous court (pictured below) I immediately felt like I had been transported back in time.
The rendezvous court was the lobby until 1984 and currently serves as a lounge where you can enjoy drinks, appetizers, or afternoon tea. This lounge has been used in movies like Daredevil, The Nutty Professor, Beverly Hills Cop, and tv shows like Mad Men and Heores. Other areas of the hotel have been featured in movies like The Wedding Ringer.
Not only has the hotel been used in several tv shows and movies, but it has also hosted the Academy Awards in the past. The hotel has a classic old Hollywood vibe which I love! The grand design of the hotel makes it a wonderful place for events. A lot of weddings and proms take place here.
The Gallery Bar and Cognac Lounge is a popular hot spot for locals and tourists alike.
I would love to stay the night here sometime in the future because the hotel is so cool. If you would like to stay in downtown, this hotel is a great option. Not only is the hotel something special but it is located close by to some other great points of interest in Los Angeles. QUE Skyspace at the U.S. bank building provides an incredible view of the city of Angels. If you’re feeling daring you can take a ride on their glass slide. Other nearby attractions worth checking out are The Last Bookstore, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Broad Museum.
I hope I will have the chance to stay here in the future so that I can give you a guest’s perspective of what it is like to stay here.
