Welcome back to those of you who have been following the posts about Disneyland Paris.  For those of you who are just now checking out the Disneyland Paris blog posts be sure to check the bottom of this post for links to parts one through three.  When I left off with part three I was discussing Toon Studio attractions in Walt Disney Studios.  Toon Studio is home to the two best attractions in that park which are Crush’s Coaster as well as the Rataouille ride.  In addition the attractions in that land there are also some great spots throughout this area to take pictures.  As a fan of Monsters Inc. I was excited to see that they have the Scream Monitors so if you want you can check out how great your scream is.  You can also take a picture with Boo’s door which excited me quite a bit for some reason but I think it’s mainly because I love taking pictures.

Once we were down exploring Toon Studios we headed towards the back of the park to check out the Studio Tram Tour which is in the Production Courtyard land.  I had high expectations for this particular attraction because I love movies and I really enjoyed this type of attraction at Hollywood Studios.  I am also really disappointed that Hollywood Studios took out their backlot tour so I was happy to know that one park still had it.  Well this attraction was a huge disappointment and waste of time.  There is so little to see and what you do see is not even close to interesting.  Even if you can walk on this attraction it is hardly worth your time.  If you have done the backlot tour at Hollywood Studios you do not need to stop and ride this attraction but I respect that you have the free will to make that choice for yourself just giving you my opinion.

Crush's Coaster

My friend and I rode Tower of Terror which was fun as usual though nothing stood out to me about this particular version of the ride.  We also rode their version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster which features Aerosmith just like the one at Hollywood Studios.  I will say that after experiencing the roller coasters at Disneyland Paris I do prefer our roller coasters in the States.  I felt like they were made different and felt more intense but not necessarily in a good way. At this point the jet lag started kicking in and it started raining so we decided to find a place where we could sit down.  We opted for the Cinemagique show which is part live action part movie. Just as I was starting to fall asleep it started raining in the theatre as part of the show but that definitely woke me up! Following the end of the show we decided to head back over to Disneyland Park.

When we got back inside Disneyland Park we decided to check out the lands that were not open during early entry.  Unfortunately I have no photos from this part of our trip due to the fact that my converters were not working with the outlets at Disneyland Paris and I was afraid if I took too many pictures in the park that I would not be able to take any pictures throughout the rest of Europe.  If I am able to get some pictures from my friend who met up with me there I will add them to the blog but as now I will just need to write about it.  We started off in Frontierland and headed straight to the Phantom Manor which is there version of the Haunted Mansion.  This is a must do for Disney fans as this is such a classic Disney attraction and it is so fun to see the differences on this ride.  The outside of Phantom Manor is very eerie and the attraction inside does not disappoint.  The ghosts are spooky but fun and there is a lot of western decor which really makes it different from the mansions in the States.

After Phantom Manor we decided to ride Big Thunder Mountain which hardly had a wait.  You board Big Thunder Mountain from land and are then taken underneath the river only to pop up on Big Thunder Mountain which is in the middle of the river.  This was such a fun ride and though it was a bit similar to the Big Thunder Mountains in the States it was unique and really cool!  Make sure to add this to your to do list as well.  This side of the park seems even more spread out that the Fantasyland/Discoveryland side and it is very easy to get turned around so make sure to have a map with you.  Following Big Thunder Mountain we decided to check out the Indiana Jones ride inside Adventureland which was a narrow roller coaster and my least favorite ride other than the Studio Tram Tour.  It is very hard to get to which made me like the attraction even less.

The area around their Pirates of the Caribbean is really cool.  There is a huge skull rock and a big pirate ship so this area is very fun and has lots of great places for pictures.  The Pirates attraction is extremely different from the ones in the States which I loved because it did not feel familiar.  The drops are pretty big on this one and more frequent plus they do take your picture so that might be a good souvenir.  Pirates of the Caribbean is another classic Disney attraction so I would encourage you to make sure to ride this one as well.  We passed a pizza place in Adventureland called Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost which smelled amazing and I wish we would have stopped when we passed while looking for the Indiana Jones attraction.  By the time we were free to go eat there it was too far away but it smelled delicious so I would encourage you to eat there if pizza sounds good to you.
