Treasure Island Beach

This California girl loves to spend time at the beach.  Laguna Beach, CA is a wonderful place to visit and I am blessed to live within driving distance.  While there are several beaches in Laguna one of my favorites is Treasure Island Beach.  Treasure Island Beach is next to the Montage, a luxury resort, and has a lovely walking path with a view that is worth seeing.  If you want a beautiful ocean view without getting in the sand there are plenty of benches for you to sit on and enjoy the view.  Living in Orange County is making me spoiled but I do my best not to take these views for granted.  I love being at any beach but this one in particular has a wow factor that keeps me coming back.

The view from above the beach is stunning and you could easily spend a lot of time taking pictures.  Once you are ready to head down to the water there are stairs as well as a ramp to the beach.  Guests staying at the Montage have access to the beach but since it is a public beach anyone can visit.  While you won’t have the beach to yourself it is much less crowded than better known beaches.  The beach is clean and even more important so are the restrooms which is a rare find at the beach.  In addition to enjoying the water you might also want to check out the rocks and tide pools.  You might want to bring some binoculars because you never know when you might spot a dolphin.

It is also a wonderful spot for a picnic with grocery stores nearby if you need to pick up some food.  I found out about this beach thanks to a friend posting a picture on Facebook and knew that I had to go there.  Of course, I had to share this gem with you because I want as many people as possible to experience the beauty of this spot.  On my first visit a lot of my family was in town for a funeral so we went here to take family pictures.  Treasure Island Beach is a relaxing and serene place to visit.  Locals and tourists alike come here to enjoy the scenery.  To say that Treasure Island Beach looks like something out of a movie is not an exaggeration.  This beach has made an appearance in a few films including Treasure Island as well as The Long, Long Trailer.

You will want to put the address for the Montage in your gps but do not park at the hotel.  The address for the Montage is 30801 S Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.  Parking for Treasure Island Beach is to the left of the resort if you are facing it.  Considering parking at some beaches can be a flat rate of $15 paying $1.25 an hour (3 hour minimum) to park in the covered lot is great.  However, the lot is very small so once that is full you will want to look for metered parking on the street.  My next goal is to watch the sunset from a bench overlooking the water.

Oh wow this is so beautiful! I’ve never been to Laguna but it was awesome being in San Diego and how behind businesses and random houses you see these little areas connected to the water and it’s just overwhelmingly beautiful

Who would love to go to the beach if you have a beach nearby that looks like that! So serene and relaxing. I don’t mind spending everyday there! Lol.

Oh man! I’m a sucker for a beach and that looks like an incredible one! I live about half a mile from the beach, but ours doesn’t look anything like that one.

I host a Photo Friday link-up each week; this would be a perfect post for it! I’d love it if you considered joining us ;)

I love Laguna Beach. I was blessed to be a flight attendant for a long time and spent a lot of time there. Just beautiful. You are so lucky to live so close. Gorgeous photos
